The inspiration for this season’s collection is based on a 1970’s Film “Beyond the Valley of the Dolls” The ingénue (pronounced /’ahnjenu) is a stock character in literature, film, and a role type in the theatre; generally a girl or a young woman who is endearingly innocent and wholesome. ingénue is inspired by Retro-centric clothing, iconic fashionistas, music, art, les films par Jean-Luc Godard and other subcultural mediums. The fall 2011 collection is sophisticated, tailored, and designed with playful whimsy silhouettes. ingenue collection is inspired by vintage styling with a modern twist.
